Hi, I’m Manette
I’ve been writing as long as I can remember, and looking for hearts since Thanksgiving 2012 when my mother-in-law pointed out a heart-shaped potato in our groceries. She said my sister-in-law would love a photo of it, so we snapped one on our phones and sent it her way. This started a fun, family treasure hunt that expanded over the years. After my dad suddenly passed away in 2014, finding hearts felt like discovering little miracles and messages that appeared everywhere. My friends starting finding them, and strangers began looking, and together we’ve collected more than 2,000 heart photos from people and adventures all over the world. Archived photos from 2015 to early 2025 live on my Instagram page, huntingforhearts, and new photos have a home here. I invite you to join in!
This is my little space on the internet to share my thoughts, poetry and photos. I live in the shadows of the beautiful Sandia mountains with my husband, our funny dogs and cute cat. Feel free to send me a message. I love new friends.
